Positions Required

Front Gate

  • Welcome attendees!
  • Taking and/or selling tickets, affixing wristbands
  • Checking in performers
  • Shifts are typically 2 – 4 hours beginning Wednesday afternoon.

Site Prep – Pre and Post Festival

  • Clearing brush, deadfall, trees
  • Mowing and whipper snipping
  • Could be day or two of work in April or May doing heavier clearing with chain saws
  • Another few days in June to do brush and grass c
  • Another day or 2 in late June to do final mowing and cleanup
  • Setup temporary structures which could include event tents, stage area
  • Post Festival: Take down temporary structures. Help with festival/camping area clean up (collecting garbage, cans, etc.) Tear down and box up festival goods for storage
  • Various shifts. Must be physically able. Pickup truck and/or tools would be a bonus!
  • 30 hours helping out in this area will get you a free weekend pass!

Performer Accommodation

  • Clean and tidy performer RV accommodation that are provided by the festival
  • Ensure beds and units are ready for each incoming performer following the prescribed schedule
  • 3 or 4 drivers with trucks able to tow RVs to and from the festival. RV’s from ArrKann in West Edmonton
  • Shifts to be determined

General Store

  • Selling miscellaneous items; tee shirts, performer merchandise ice, etc.
  • Provide site information
  • Keep a balance of float and stock
  • Record all sales
  • Experience with Square Point of Sale would be an asset.
  • 2 – 4 hour shifts, noon to 11pm.

Parking/Camping

  • Welcoming attendees at front Gate
  • Directing campers to suitable available areas/sites
  • Guiding trailers/motor homes
  • Directing weekend and day parking
  • Monitoring and advising parking and camping availability
  • 2 – 4 hour shifts throughout the days of the festival

Hospitality

  • Serve and monitor food for performers and VIPs
  • Kitchen assistance and light cleaning duties
  • Pre-festival inventory, food prep and tables set-up
  • Post-festival inventory, take down and storage
  • 2 – 4 hour shifts to be determined

Backstage/Greenroom decoration and setup

  • Backstage/green room decorating!
  • Pre-festival set up and post fest-takedown
  • Materials, furnishings provided
  • Need your artistic touch!
  • 2 – 4 hour shifts

First Aid

  • RN’s, Paramedics, EMT’s, First aiders of any level
  • Provide minor help typical of camping/festival environments
  • Supplies and equipment provided
  • These 2 – 4 hours shifts will be on-call, via radio, only. You will not have to sit in the first aid shelter
  • There will be an on-call physician in attendance
  • For anything serious, Tofield hospital, 24 hour emergency and ambulance service is 10 minutes away
